Do you know of any self patented devises.
ANYONE can write their own patent. However, to do a complete patent search is VERY tedious, and best left up to the experts. For MOST people, it's actually more profitable to work out a non-disclosure agreement with a big company and let THEM pay for all the patent filing. You don't usually get filthy rich that way, but you still get good dividends if you're named on the patent. (Or at least you CAN).

I have designed devices for people, which in turn they patented (I had to sign off on the design as the inventor, for them to patent it)... But have never patented anything for myself, I don't have that kind of money to waste on patent attorney's and searches......... (still waiting to become filthy rich though!!)

Before embarking on such an endeavor I suggest you read Lancaster on the subject. In a nutshell he recommends skipping the patent process, going straight to the building and marketing.

I'm here to tell that the patents that I have are not worth the paper they are printed on. I sure am glad I didn't have to pay for them.

Also, find out what a "tinaja" is, it's a very amusing story.
