Hi...can anyone please tell me how a ferrite bead of particular value is selected, what is the formula or procedure for selecting a ferrite bead...???

    Hi frnds...!!

Can anyone please help me in selecting the value of a ferrite bead for emi and high frequency noise filtering from high speed signals.....???

    Thnx....!!!

    From beenthere:
A lot of the selection is based on application. Google has links to lots of information, including some with useful discussion - http://www.bytemark.com/products/ferbead.htm

    From jpanhalt:
Try the technical notes from one of these:

    Hi..
this the theoretical description of the ferrite beads...ferrite beads are more oftenly ued in high speed designs...but to determine its value is bit tricky...like if my signal frequency is 60MHz and i want to use a ferrite to suppress/attenuate EMI , noise....what ferrite value shud i use...???
