Which type of pic micro controller would be best suited for speed control application on a dc drive. Can any one provide the name of μc and its data sheet please... It would be suitable to control a dc drive of 220v, 1500rpm.

 

The uC is not quite ready to get selected yet. The important thing is to decide on how to control the motor. After deciding on the means and the hardware to use, then it is time to find the uC.

 

Sorry... the hardware is the one in which speed is controlled by adjusting the voltage across the armature and field of the seperately excited drive using converter circuits which are fired by the signals coming from the the μc. which μc would be suitable for performing this operation. the speed values would be entered to the μc and according to that the μc should produce the firing pulses.
