Since I'm fairly new here I don't know if this is the proper place to post this but I went out to the garage after work this evening looking for an old computer supply I could take apart because I needed some components from it and in the process forgot that I had an old Sears Touch K100 scanner out there! I'd forgotten how to program it but eventually it came back and I've been having fun with it tonight. Anyone else have one of these old units? Gotta love the red lights that flash as it scans! 
I have a more modern Bearcat scanner I haven't used in a long time either but you don't get the visuals the old units had. Perhaps I don't have any point in posting this really other than a memory lane factor which makes me smile and think it's 1979 again. 36 years hence and still going strong! They don't make 'em like they used to! The limited frequency range is annoying however. Anyway, I guess that's all I wanted to share and say. Hope y'all don't mind.
