Thanks for that. I did attach the code in the thread above as a zip file in case anyone would like it.
And yes, if anyone can take a look at my new design layout, I'd really appreciate it. Trace thicknesses, grounding and possible interference is what I'm really interested in before I build my board.
Since my last post above, I've re-designed a number of traces and got a second proposal using a ground plane (see attached).
