scilab, better than ever!

    I used one of the earliest versions of Scilab, an open source "attempt" at Matlab ages and ages ago. At the time it was a "Poor stepchild" of Matlab...but at least it was free. :) Boy, things have really changed. Scilab 5 can really give Matlab a run for the money....it doesn't have as many plugin tools...yet....but the core functionality is all there. If you're a starving college student and cant afford Matlab outside of the class I really encourage you to give Scilab a spin.

    Any idea if it has R Pi plugins? are better yet PIC!! MC want nearly £1000 for the simulink blocks!! alot of the other companies make them free
