Hoping someone can help me.

I have a Samsung 40" LCD TV (LA40A610A3R) which has starting flickering. Reading online it seems this is a common Samsung issue. I have tried turning off the eco option etc with no luck. On line there were many people talking about success in fixing the problem by cutting a particular jumper, however the instructions were for different models and the quoted jumper numbers do not correlate to this particular model.

If anyone knows of this model and the fix I would be most grateful.

I have read many posts on issues surrounding the power supplies and in particular the capacitors in the power supply board. There are YouTube videos and websites outlining the problem and the fix, but I must caution you that this reply is for information purposes only. If you are inexperienced with television repair, this is not something I would recommend as a home repair. You should send this to an experienced TV repair facility and have it repaired by an experienced journeyman. Good Luck.
