Salary Range

    Can someone tell me in general what is the average national salary range for a firmware engineer?

    You can look at www.salary.com they have some general stats. Also there are some national organizations that publish salary data like IEEE and NSPE etc...

    On individual cases this would vary significant and more likely be linked to experience, industrial sector, and the individual companies. Additionally, (although I am not sure how significant this is in the US, but it is so here in the UK) there is also the issue of demoraphics and location.

    One idea might be to look at the engineering press for jobs and see what is being offered at companies that may be of interest in your chosen area of work. As an example in the UK, a senior firmware engineer may expect to earn £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience and accreditation.
