I want to use one of my Ryobi 18V 4AH batteries to run a shop vac rated for 1000W. Could one of those batteries even put out that much current? From what I have read online, I would need a 1500W - 2000W inverter. Unfortunately almost all of the inverters I have seen have inputs of 12V or 24V. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I think you will overheat your battery before you activate your vacuum..
It would be possible to run something that takes less power (possibly your laptop), but not something that requires a lot of power.
Analogy would be to pull a tractor trailer with a scooter motor.
