Hi all,

I have a query abou rs422 termination resistance. Usually we use 120ohm as termination resistance but attached imaged in the circuit user use 5.1k resistance with capacitor.

Kindly anybody explain how will it work.

It would probably work kinda-sorta. It sounds more like suppression for some specific noise then a termination resistance.

Keep using the 120 ohm. It's the best way to avoid trouble.

 

This circuit using very noise environment like textile.
