Hi, I'm doing a project that uses RS232 and PIC18F4520. I am using REALTERM software to communicate between the PC and PIC. But i encountered many problems particularly with the program. Since i have no experienced in this, I followed the steps in http://extremeelectronics.co.in/microch ... -tutorial/ but when i try to rebuild it failed.

Any of you guys got example codes to read and write from PC and PIC through RS232? Sorry, I'm a total newbie. Please bare with me.

and btw, I'm using mikroC compiler and MPLAB IDE v8.50. Please help me.

Have you used a RS232 level translator circuit. Like a max232 type circuit. Google max232.
