Old news. Hitchbot is long forgotten now.

Are you saying this was the ultimate proof that hitchhiking is dangerous? :p

I'm saying that the creators of hitchbot may have had a feeling... and it was only Philadelphia! Just think what would have happened to the poor thing in Peoria or Witchita.

Philadelphia ... a city that boo'd Santa Claus. Did you think the hitchbot would be welcomed with the key to the city?

I feel bad for Hitchbot but Santa, well in my opinion he's got more than just some booing coming.

It is sad. A great experiment on human and robot interactions provides for the the worst in humans.

I'll agree that I am disappointed in the human actions. However, I have trouble being sad about a broken machine...

... unless the machine is an antique motorcycle.

But he was so cute. How could you not love him? ;)

Did you get to see Fraley's when it was open in downtown Pittsburgh?

Lovable? Yes. Rebuildable? Yes. Sad? No. Disappointed in people for breaking things for no reason? Yes.

    I never saw Fraley's.
