Just wondering, what is the best way to know if Leading or Lagging in a RLC circuits ... I was been told that the word "CIVIL" is a good way of remembering it but too tell absolute the truth, I am lost !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I always remember the capacitor then know the inductor is the other way around.
In an RC circuit the capacitor starts off at zero volts but at maximum current so the current leads the voltage.
