Hi fellow Minn Kota brothers:

I'm rebuilding the lower unit to my Riptide 80. However I did not take notice of the way the shaft (armature) seals face. Does anyone know if they go on with the seal springs facing towards the prop or towards the motor? (see picture with pencil pointing to spring). Seems to me if the springs face towards the prop water would touch them and they would rust. Also, do both seals go in the same way or is one reversed?
