Hello all,
I have been scouring youtube and the interwebs for the last 2 days and I still can't find an answer or a similar project realised.
I have a kit with:
- 2M RGB 5050 60LED/m SMD STRIP
- Remote control
- 12v 2A AC/DC power adapter
- circuit board / Y splitter that allows to power 2 separate light strips (with IR receiver)
- circuit board /that allows to power a single light strip (with IR receiver)
What I want to do:
As shown in attachment, what I want to do is solder the 4 cables from my first "single strip" circuit board onto the "dual strip" circuit board to give me the ability to run 3 separate strips controlled by the same remote control and powered by the same AC/DC adapter.
My concerns / questions with the below setup:
- is there a risk of over heat and damage?
- is there a risk of voltage drop on the 3 led strips (1x 40 cm, 1x 30 cm, 1x 110 cm)?
Thank you very much for your help!!!!
