Awwww, rats. You have the relay wires swapped!

Pull the orn/wht wire from f49, and plug it in on the POSITIVE rail (the diodes' cathode must go to the positive rail).
Pull the orn/wht wire from the negative rail, and plug it in to f51.
Remove the black wire from g51 and plug it into g49.
ding ding ding! (or is that click?) we have a winner :)

Doing that made it click! YAY!!!! :)

Thanks SgtWookie!

Isn't that correct though? As the package for the transistor has 321 which is collector base and emitter

In the drawing the emitter (far right) is grounded
the middle is base
and the far left is the collector?
The diagram on the Radio Shack package is the transistor as viewed from the bottom instead of the top. That is why you had a hard time with it. Many others have fallen victim to that packaging.

In the future, please don't replace drawings/photos in your prior posts; as that causes the replies that immediately follow to look confused. If you just add the new schematic/photo/whatever to a new reply, then it keeps things in a chronological sequence, and it's far easier to keep track of how things progressed, or where things went wrong.

Glad you got it working finally!

I hate radioshack :)

Changed the 1k resistor to a 560 ohm resistor.

"bottom" to me on that image would be the head of the transistor itself. Why cant they just have it labeled like normal people label things and show the pins coming out of it. Blah.

Thanks for the lesson, SgtWookie.
