Hello,

I like to make my first start with I Microcontrolling. I like to make a application that allows clients to registrant there ID by RFID. The box will connect to Ethernet to computer and a written application C# application on a computer.

Can somebody help me with this? Is there board good to connect RFID, supports MS micro framework and Ethernet and is not so expensive.

ehm... I am not really good with soldering so everything by cable would by nice

Thank you so much

It sounds like you need to make it a PC based unit to be able to use standard parts.

Have a look at ITX and XTX/ETX standard motherboards. These are small, low power types ideal for building in to other gear.

ITX is 170mm square (about 7") and XTX/ETX are 95 x 114mm (about 4 x 5")

Examples:
http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Motherboards_ITX_83.html
http://www.avalue.com.tw/products/XTX-US15WP.cfm

Many places that sell these also sell parts like 12V input power supplies to suit the boards.

You could make the whole thing boot & run from a USB drive.
