    Hi everyone

I just received a set of 433mHz RX TX. I want to use it to simply switch an led on and off. As someone with very little electrical knowledge, I hoped it would be as simple as connecting ether the on-off switch and the led to the data pins. This setup does not seem to work. Am I missing something, is something wired up wrong? The receiver is giving between 0 and 1.5V constantly at the data pin, probably just noise and not enough to light the led, so I think the problem is at the transmitter side. Any advice would be much appreciated.

The transmitter: power source goes to vcc and gnd. Switch goes to data and gnd. Solid coiled wire as antenna.

The receiver: power goes to vcc and gnd. Led goes to data and (same) gnd. Straight wire as antenna.
