I need a high power negative power source. I can use a 2nd ps for the + side. For a Hi power amplifier would like to use a computer power supply but how do I separate the grounds to +12 & +5 lines. Are schematics available for supplies. Been electronic tech for years, so can unsolder the relevent parts, if i could figure out what to separate.

Anyone reuse a ps this way?

Not worth it where there are psus available that has dual isolated outputs that can be wired as desired.

I'd use a iron transformer though for a audio amp.
