    Hello,

I have 2 power resistors 50 Ohm, 250W. If I put them parallel or put them in series, so are they the same power 500W?

    Thanks

In parallel you get 25Ω and 500W but in series you get 100Ω/500W

The thing to realize is that they're rated for 250 W each, regardless of how they're connected. The only thing that matters is how much current goes through the resistor (ignoring things like lack of cooling air, which will reduce the power rating).

Thus, if you have two of them in a circuit, they can together dissipate 500 W.
