Hello, we have been told the resistance between points A and B is 2.259 Ohm, and the resistance between points A and C is 1.543 Ohm.
The problem is I cant see how this calculates up.
Can someone please help me understand ?

Thanks kindly for any assistance.

thanks guys for that, Narayan I follow your diagram for A-B but I just dont see how I could do it differently to calculate resistance between A & C.

Could you please tell me how I could do A to C ?

Thanks kindly.

narayan did an excellent job for you, why don't you look at what he did?

Hint: look at how he simplified the network in the bottom left corner. Try to solve that for yourself for A to C.

One trick is to redraw the circuit in a more structured manner to make it clearer as to what series / parallel combinations exist in the overall layout.

I've made an attempt at redrawing in such a manner in the attachment.

This might help ....???
