To test a cardboard made directional microphone I will use a universal tripod for cameras.

What fitting should I ask for, fitted to the horn for mounting it on the tripod? Honestly I have no idea where to look for.

For the moment I found just a nut with the right thread.

Help appreciated.

It seems that is all you would need. Just make a little flange on your horn to slip over the stub and screw on your nut.
Yes BO, problem is I need to aim it properly (direction and elevation)

Tripod heads are too much $$$ just for this.

Nice horn, BTW.
Believe me; assembled by holding the whole thing with my bare hands in around 40 minutes. The secret, using common cardboard (boxes from the Chinese market around the corner) and sparse vinyl glue along 5 cm every time. Cardboard soaks up quickly but gives time to correct.

The other secret that solved my problem the first time: each side sitting ON the edge of the next.

After completing the test I will build two bigger, that will go to the hills for my brother there.
