Greetings, requesting circuit for AC motor speed control. The motor is a router that I use on a cnc milling machine. It is a Bosch Colt 120 volt, 5.6 amps, with brushes. I purchased a 15 amp router speed controller from Harbor Freight but it does not work with this router. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards

Many of the Bosch [ as well as other mfgr ] routers are equipped with on-board speed controls.

The fact that the engineers designing them rarely incorporate enough beef into the circuitry to outlive the tool, is the major problem.

The best short-term use speed control for an AC, or Universal motor, is based around the good 'ol foot rheostat for a sewing machine. I use one with a beefed-up element , made of proper nichrome wire, for my Dremel tool, as well as a Bosch just dandy !!
