The power board on my Philips hts3565d Surround Sound went out the other day. I've tracked the problem down to a bad 3nk80z. Perhaps I'm not looking at the right purchasing sites, but I'm having trouble finding an exact match. The closest I've been able to come to matching is a STP4NK80Z. From what I gather, the specs are similiar, but slightly higher in drain current.

Is there a mosfet that better matches the 3NK80Z? Or is this a reasonable replacement?

If specs are similar and Id is not less it works most of the time.
I replace them all the time.
But you need to check the drivers for shorts

Looks like a more or less generic 3A 800V specification, but the Ton/Toff spec may also be important.
