Yes, your 15V adapter is the "wall wart" I was speaking of. Tsk, tsk - your tablet wasn't designed for that much input voltage!

Well, you will need to replace the blown 5.1v Zener diode. It doesn't have to be precisely that diode, just a Zener that will fit (without shorting anything, of course) and connected up in accordance with the datasheet that was on the link I previously posted.

If you don't get it right, you will fry stuff.

Additionally, you may very well have "blown" some or all of the 74HC4020 IC's, as when the diode blew, the IC's were subjected to the full 15v of your adapter.

If replacing the Zener diode doesn't get it working, you could always use the tablet to shore up a table that has a short leg.
