Hi Everyone,
I am a complete newbie. I am wanting to a a box that sits on my table that has a speaker attached. The box will have pre-recorded audio, like audio tracks etc. I only want 5 short audio tracks on it. I want to be able to click a remote control and select the audio track that I want to play. I have attached a diagram to show exactly what I mean.

It this difficult to do. Could someone help point me in the right direction? Thanks very much in advance!

 

The remote control can be a bit of a chore, but there are voice recorder and playback chips available that make the voice part pretty easy.

Has anyone got any ideas how to impliment the remote control element into this?

 

How far away do you need to be able to control it?

Only around 10 meters away. So the size of a room basically.

 

This is going to be tough if you are a "complete newbie". I have seen "off the shelf" devices that do this; Google "haunted house + sound playback" and such. Sorry, I don't have a link...
