need help in making a circuit where there are 6 bulbs and whenever the total no. of bulbs is 6 the entire circuit gets powered off how should i proceed if i use triacs or scr along with relay...help please

 

We really need more information. Can you post a drawing of any sort or get more talkative?

 

that is whar the problem is..i just submitted this idea as a power electronics project and now am stuck...

Do you know how you will detect when all six bulbs are on? What controls which bulbs are on?

You can control the bulbs with a mechanical or solid-state relay.

 

You can use ST mirco-controller and ST relays for switching.

I have that circuit working in my basement right now. There are 6 bulbs on the shelf and they're all off. Of course they're also still in their boxes.

Maybe not what you want, but it meets all the criteria you've given.
