I've been searching on the internet for a while but cannot find a good article outlining the difference/relationship between jitter and PPM.

Can anyone explain to me the difference/relationship between jitter & PPM?

In what application would PPM be of most concern? In what application is jitter of most concern?

PPM is basically a measure of how accurate the frequency of a device is. For example, if a 10 MHz oscillator were spec'd at +/- 1 ppm, the frequency of the device is expected to be 10 MHz +/- 10 Hz.
