can anyone explain near field and far fields regions and their importance in design of antennas ?? are there any problems with regenration in reactive near field region ....which i read from the link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_and_far_field....plzzz clarify

There is no well-defined distance at which the near field ends and the far field begins. However, from a practical standpoint, if you see a change of impedance of an antenna element due to the presence of a second element, they are within the near field. Generally, this means they are close enough to measure mutual inductance.
