I have a query regarding quad cable. What is the effect on cable capacitance if I connect a pair of conductors in parallel at each end to increase area and then connect same pairs together at about equal point along the length.(about 6KM).

    Hello,

    The drawing is not clear.
Can you make a drawing in paint or any other drawing program?
We prefer the images in .png format.

Here is a desciption how to attach an image:

Adding cables in parallel with basically double the capacitance.

Edit: What is the purpose of tying them together along the run? It will have no effect on the total resistance or capacitance.
