Hi, I'm another newbie with a question: I accidently shorted a hot wire on my Honda motorcycle (TL250, 12v) replacing the headlight while running (DUH!). Now it won't start. The bike runs strictly off the alternator 2 wire system, no battery just magneto style I presume. The yellow alternator wire is attached to what looks like a single wire rectifier; a square aluminum box with hardened plastic filling and a center bolt through it attached to the frame. All lights are connected to this single wire and I'm afraid I burned it out. I'm assuming that this unit is a simple rectifier. However, I'd like to have a combo Rec/Reg so I can have guage lighting and turn signals. Can someone please help me with a simple circuit schematic for a combo I can build myself?

    Best regards,
