I have disassembled my car head unit with the thought of adding a rear mounted usb. I haven't the slightest clue about electrics but figured it shouldn't be too hard to add it. I've brought a female usb hub and a soldering iron. Can anyone give me any pointers or tell me what other info you would need? I know the head unit has a front mounted usb if this helps.

Just buy a usb charger that plugs into the cars ciggylighter outlet, and leave the headunit alone.
