Forward voltage drop for the input diode is referred to as Vf.
Max Forward Current for the input diode is referred to as If.

    Thanks
So the emitter section does refer to the internal led.
I have sized resistors for a 24vdc circuit connected to this isolator, i had
assumed a .7 Vf but will redo for 1.1Vf?

On the detector side of the circuit if i want to place an led and resistor in series with the collector. The led will have an If of approx 15mA from a 24vDC power supply, so i will size the current limiting resistor for the led based on these figures. How from the datasheet can i be sure that based on the opto-couplers emitter side figures that the opto-coupler will switch on enough to bring on the led on?

    Thanks
