    hi all
i just saw this website its reallu cool

i want to clear some of my doubts
how do u design a RC filter for a supply voltage??i mean what are the factors that are to be considered for the designing the value of resistor and capacitor??

To answer that, one has to know the specific needs you want to meet. What do you want to filter out - high frequencies, low frequencies, frequencies within a certain range, or frequencies outside a certain range? In any case, I think this link should satisfy all your needs: http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_2/chpt_8/1.html

Rule of thumb for power supply filter caps: C = 0.7(I)/ΔE(f) where ΔE = acceptable ripple.

Out of curiosity, what are the units for voltage ripple?

    Volts, or millivolts.
