That's too bad. That definitely wipes out my circuit idea. At least now I know.

Not that it matters, but I just realized what I was thinking of that got me confused on this issue. I've been playing around with dc solenoids, which generate a reverse voltage when the magnetic field collapses. Entirely different situation here, of course.
