dont forget the compressor on your fridge when it starts up with your ptc starter controlling the compressor via its start winding,there will be quite a high current flowing until it runs normally via the run winding......

Thats completely isolated from the raspberry pi due to the SSR.
So if the SSR fails the Pi will be safe.
