West coast of Florida. Raining like 6" per day. Everything is flooded. The best part: Florida is made of sand. An hour after the rain stops everything will be back to normal.

Miserably hot & humid. Although not as miserably hot and humid as it has been in years past.

@ Nerdegutta,What the forecast, got your sailboat ready. Do you sail on a lake

or the ocean, what the name. Do you fish or fish and dive and have fun. You have

watch what you say,I was being modest and called my self the Three Minute Man

for a diving reason. Google three minute man...strange results.

    Nice picture!
The sailboat is ready for use, just need to wash some dust inside the cabin. It's on the ocean, and the shore around here is pretty nice. Had the first dive this year on Saturday. Checking that the equipment was OK. It was. Now I'm going for Dry suit. It's expensive, but I think it's worth it.

I do not think I want to google three minute man... Something tells me that I'll will not like the result...

@ Nerdegutta,The surf has been rough down here for six months. Its been a

long time since we have had any good diving weather, down here the air from

the Everglades can hit the ocean air and you have, unpredictable thunder storm.

The weather radar cannot pick them up,they come out nowhere, anytime in daylite.

    Hi happy.

Small and little mean the same thing most of the time but in this case you cannot interchange them. You can say:

    A little rain today.

It rained a little bit today.
It rained a bit today. (means that there was more that just a little bit of rain)
There was a little bit of rain today.
There was a small bit of rain today.
There is a little rain today.

There is little rain today... means the opposite, meaning it hardly rained today.
There was little sun today... means we didn't see much sun today.

In short hand writing, you can write:

    A little rain today.
Little rain today ... means the opposite if you were hoping for or expecting rain.

    English is confusing!

Edit: To make it even more confusing, you can say:

    A little rain today.
A little bit of rain today.
A little amount of rain today.
    Little bit of rain today.
    Little amount of rain today.

    But,

Little rain today ... means the opposite.

Luckily, our weather forecast is most of the time right, and we do not have unpredictable storms.

Oooops! Guess the wife met him with a cold shoulder when he got back...

If it raining very hard. You can use this kind of cool idiom. It's raining cats and dogs. You can use this idiom to say that is is (or was) raining VERY heavily. It doesn't mean that cats and dogs are falling out the sky:eek:
An example. I hope it will rain cats and dogs every day. While Nerdegutta is on his vacation.
