I own several of his books. One is based on EWB ( I believe version 4 or higher) and all the others are based on EWB Multisim. I also own a student version of EWB Multisim which I purchased several years ago.

All work OK except the one based on EWB will not work with EWB Multisim.
I notice that there are numerous websites that offer free downloads of EWB 5.12 but I hesitate to do this because of whatever undesirable other things might download at the same time.

Any advice about any way to make EWB Multisim work, or a safe website to download EWB 5.12 would be appreciated.

The firm that owned Electronic Eork Bench. Sold the program to National instruments (the people behind Labview) Some time ago. http://www.ni.com/multisim/ I think they at least offer a 30 day free trail version. And some student versions. However I think you will be able to do much the same if not all in the free version of LTspice

EWB Multisim loads properly as usual.

When I try to load a circuit from the book based on EWB (not EWB Multisim ) I get a message headed Electronics Workbench Education
Edition which reads " Unable To Complete Circuit Conversion".

Thank you for trying to help me with this.
