Telepohone distribution networks are playing an important role in datacommunication what's teh main step involve in processing teh signal in switch room of PSTN?

Q2*A controlling teh speed of a motor .the 0 to 1mv analog voltage from DAC is amplified to produce motor speed from 0 to 10,000 rmp.how many bits should be used if the computer is to be able to produce a motor speed thatis with in 1rmp of the desired speed?
how many bits to be generate by teh computer to control the 25,00 rmp of teh motor?

kindly show the answer.THAnks

On your first question, you need to think how the signal flows when someone connects to the internet via the telephone line. If you come across any words that are acronyms, find out what that acronym means.

On your second question, you have to show 10,001 bits of information. To get it to the exact rpm, you can convert 10,001 to binary, then count the bits.

Two bits count 0 to 3. Extrapolate from there.

On the first question ... the signal from your house, whether it's voice or digital, is analog. There's the starting point for you to consider.

On the second question ... your doing a decimal to binary conversion. One page to see that is http://www.is.wayne.edu/olmt/binary/page3.htm

2nd question... you want 10,000 steps
1 bit is 2 steps (0 to 1)
2 bits is 4 steps (0 to 3).. (00, 01, 10,11)
3 bits is 8 steps
4 is 16
8 is 256 (0 to 255) (00000000, 00000001, ...... 11111110, 11111111)
9 is 512
12 is 4096
13 is 8192 ..... not quite 10000... you need 1 more bit....... for 16384 steps

Not sure about the 2nd part of 2nd question... do you mean a 25,000 rpm motor (25000 steps) or 10,000 rpm in 25 rpm divisions (400 steps).... I'm sure by now you can work those out yourself.
