Question for sg3524....

    Hi. I want information of comp uses in 3524 chip? How to make a network for it?

    The SG3524 can be used for many applications other than the power supply/inverter applications it was originally made for. Almost any thing that needs PWM can be made with it, so your question needs to be narrowed down to what you want to do.

    I am working on UPS for my final yr prjt for this i was using 4047 & 4001 combination for generating modified sin wave. Any way voltage req. Problem was there so i am going with Sg 3524...

    I have no idea what that question means, but I designed a number of switchers using the 3524 and 3525.

    If you mean "how to compensate" the design, that depends on the external circuitry. The gain block in the 3524 allows adding compensation to work with the external converter.

    So can u tell me the application of compensation pin and pls tell how to make pid or any network for it

    I answered the question previously, which you did not understand. The compensation is NOT defined by the 3524, it's defined by the external circuitry. For example, I recall the L-C filter on the output of a typical switcher presented two poles so a zero would have to be added to the loop to compensate one of them out.

    There is no formula for compensation for the 3524, you have to analyze the whole control loop of what you are building and then add the necessary compensation..

    Ok, while connecting mosfet irf 540 as push pull conf. For inverter how should mosfet protected from back emf ? Any driver ckt?

    Hi ,

    As i am working on inverter as AG has given a ckt of modified sin wave using 4047 & 4001 irf 540 mos were used with 10k pull down & 45ohms R in gate i have tesred it upto 300watt due to smal battery of my transformer i hv is of 12 0v centre tap of ups itself there are 5tapping at secd. For AVR and the problem with this ckt was there is no voltage requlation so i decided to use sg3524 it is working fine but the same mosfet are buring in few sec don't know why?
    The trans primary has .1ohm R & 110ohm at secd.
    So what should i add a ckt to drive mosfet perfectly and protected from short ckt or overload cond?

    You posted the schematic of this new square-wave inverter on the other website but you did not post it here.

    Your timing capacitor value was double the maximum allowed value and your oscillator frequency is lower than the 130Hz minimum allowed frequency.

    Using a 12V battery, the transformer should be 24V center-tapped (12V-0V-12V) not 12V center-tapped.

    The SG3524 IC has inputs at pin 4 and pin 5 for measuring output current and to reduce the output when overloaded.

    I am not using current sense because it will drop voltage at .1ohm R thats why!

    The current sense pins of the IC can detect 200mV.
    A resistor that is 0.1 ohms has a value much too high to detect high current.

    You do not understand English and electronics enough to make an inverter with that PWM IC.
    Your circuit has so many problems that I will not post it, YOU post it.

    After the sg3524 with mosfet driver connected with two ?? mosfet is working fine with voltage regulation....

    The SG3524 is working but the problem is the square wave which is not efficient as more current is draw at no load than modified sin wave...
    can u please help me with modified wave circuit with voltage regulation..
