Transformers (Part 2) - Analysis of Transformer Circuits

shouldnt the impedance be calculated as the sum of both resistor's resistance and coil's reactance?

thank you
For the case of an ideal transformer, the reactance of the windings doesn't come into the calculations.

For a real transformer, the inductance of the windings and the various losses in the windings and core must be considered. But, even in the real world case, ignoring the winding reactance gives a very good approximate result.
