UV Water Purification System is installed at my home, but unfortunately it stopped functioning. After inspecting each component of its circuit, I found out that one of diodes has been shorted. It has " 1N4007 KED" written on it... But I have got "1N4007 MIC" available in my component box at my home.. Can I use it as an alternative? If no then can any one guide me regarding its possible alternatives?

The diode is probably from an other supplier.
The specs should be the same, so you can replace the diode.
