Yes, depending on what outputs the VCD player or PS2 it will work. I may not however be cost effective if you have to convert a signal like NTSC video to VGA as a standalone device to do this is expensive. Some players and games have computer compatible outputs.

If you have a video input card on your computer either built into the video card or as an add on card then you can play them easily. Some of the capture cards are cheap but this does require a computer.

I don't know exactly what either device puts out so find out then go looking for a card or check to see if your computer has such a card or the video card has it.

Well me trying to connect ps2 to an LCD computer monitor without a pc !!! i guesss theres a device called" PS2 VGA " box wich is not available in India...Its expected to output games with 1024* resolution on a pc lcd monitor.. Has anyone tried it ?
