I'm absolutely stuck on a assignment. I need to list 3 pros and 3 cons for each of the following circuit types:

    Series
    Pro-
    Con-

    Parallel
    Pro-
    Con-

    Combination
    Pro-
    Con-

If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. This looks like a helpful forum!

Without some sort of context, a sensible answer is just about impossible.

I'll take a stab at parallel:
Pro - paralleling resistors can increase dissipation.
Con - several parallel resistors may cost more than a single one. They will take up more PCB area.

This is just for a basic Physics 1300 class. We don't get into big terms or anything. I just need simple answers. I barely understand this stuff in the first place

You ask an ambiguous question, someone answers you despite this, you don't like it.

    Yeah....that's not gonna do it.

Then would it be fair to say that you deserve to fail the class unless you exert yourself a bit more? Try asking the teacher/professor for help and staying after class. That's what they get paid for.

    I would challenge the question.

The pros or cons of a circuit have to do with how well they fill a need, not whether they are series, parallel, or combination.
