    Hi there.
    I'm a physics student with an interest in electronics.
    I've been taking apart circuits and have basic high school/college knowledge of the theory behind it.

    I have a fair understanding of logic gates and how they function. However I'm completely unsure how to assemble them on a breadboard or into a schematic in the practical sense.
    Will I have to buy a programmable component or is it possible to buy the logic gates separately and solder them together?
    I am currently reading:
    -Electronics for dummies (lol)
    -Electronics projects for dummies
    -Self teaching guide to electronics

    How should I go about making my project?
    Suggestions (and criticism for being a nub) are welcome.
    Thanks;
    -NoHara

    Logic gates don't have to be programmed.
