I have used linear and logical chips on many projects of my own, but now, since my projects are ending up having too many chips (cd4011, 40xx, 555, LM567, ...), I would like to move to programing and have most (but not all) of the functions in one chip. I am looking for a website or name of a book or anything to start programing. My projects involve lots of IF-THEN, and time delays, say for example a house alarm; the use of sensors, ..... I have already got MPLAB; next is to learn programing and then get the necesary parts.
    I will appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    M.

This forum seems to be heavily weighted toward the topic PIC micros. You may want to consider taking a look at it.
