    Hi All,

We have swapped out to a new BLDC motor supplier, connected to a known good motor controller board and known good sensors. When connected to the new motor however, it seems to run fine in one direction but sounds bad and seems to have limited torque in the other direction. I checked the hall sensor signals they looked OK to me. What could be causing this?

    TY,
    Fred

With no power, does the shaft spin freely in both directions?

Have you contacted your supplier about the problem?

You may need to try the original motor again to see if there has been any damage to your controller.

Will try your good suggestions tomorrow guys.

We where able to get one controller and motor working by adjusting the hall sensor offsets, they had to be adjusted all the way to one position however.

We tried making the same adjustments on two other motors but it didn't fix the problems on those systems.
