Is current able to flow once you fire the triac? Triacs will turn off once the current stops flowing. Also, if current can't flow for some reason at firing time (high inductance and short firing pulse), they wont turn on.Hi everyone,
I am using a Triac in my project. But I am getting problem in firing the Triac i.e. the Triac is not fired.
Do anyone suggest me why there is this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Every active element (BJT, MOS, IGBT, TRIAC, Thyristor, etc) will get destroyed if you drive an inductive load with it and don't design the circuit properly.triacs suck !
they get damaged easily ..if load is inductive
If the resistance seen by the gate is large then then TRIAC can't fire because the current flowing in the gate is less than needed.Hi everyone,
