Primitive PCB trace antenna

I'm working on a circuit which incorporates this pre-bought RF switch: link.
At 433.92MHz

The switch is glued to the front of a PCB in an enclosing. The back of the PCB is exposed to the outside of the enclosing. I was thinking of soldering the antenna wire from this switch to a via, which will pass to the external side of the board and to an antennae trace to improve range.

I have no knowledge whatsoever about antenna design, but I was thinking I might as well try to make some sort of pattern as it may be better than nothing (is it?), and plus a squiggly line or spiral will look cool...

I have 6.75cm^2 on the board for this.
Should I try to make it functional? Is it feasible with limited knowledge of the subject, if so any recommendations?
If I don't, and I just make some standard looking shape, could that actually hamper the performance?

-Thanks for any advice
