I want to know if there is any way to transmit serial data over the same two wires from the power supply, I mean, I can't add more wires for the serial communication, I need to use the same wires of the power supppy. I am working with DC.

My issue is because I am working on a system and the wires are already installed since some time.

Yes there are ways to do this but they have major drawbacks.
